Europe's leading ice specialist, The Ice Box, and art event company, Artalone, have great
pleasure in announcing a new addition to London's art scene – London’s first International
Ice Sculpting Festival!
The Festival will be a timed, international competition between five teams of ice sculptors
from around the globe. Each team will carve their interpretation of the Festival’s specially
chosen theme, ‘Wildlife in the City’, from a huge block of ice.
Will you agree with the judges decision? Find out at 12.00 midday on Sunday 11 January when
the medals and a specially commissioned glass trophy will be awarded to the winning team.
You can even have a go yourself at ice sculpting at the London Ice Sculpting Festival’s
FREE Master Classes (12 years old and over).
Entry to the event will be FREE to everyone so come and enjoy it during 9-11 January 2009
in the grounds of London’s world famous Natural History Museum, next to the ice rink.
